Fortalezinha, Maiandeua Island (Algodoal) — Pará. The trip combines a road drive, parking and a boat crossing.
1. Belém → 40 do Mocoóca
About 180 km and 3h15 by car from Belém, via BR-316 → PA-127 → PA-395 → PA-430 até a comunidade do 40 do Mocoóca.
2. Parking
Leave your car at one of the parking lots near the pier — the daily rate is usually R$ 20,00. Nos estacionamentos mais afastados o valor é mais em conta.
3. Boat crossing
A quick crossing of about 5 minutes to Fortalezinha. The fare is R$ 10,00 at high tide and R$ 5,00 at low tide, with a surcharge of up to R$ 5,00 at night.
The drop-off point varies with the tide: at high tide the boat gets closer to the pousada and the walk is shorter; at low tide the drop-off is farther away, with a longer walk through the village.

Arriving at high tide
Com a maré cheia o barco encosta mais próximo da pousada e a caminhada até a Casa Amarela é curta, com poucos minutos a pé pela orla.
- Crossing: R$ 10,00 per person (about 5 minutes), with a surcharge of up to R$ 5,00 at night.
- Parking: ~R$ 20,00 per day near the pier.
- Tip: check the high tide time before leaving Belém (180 km / 3h15).
Arriving at low tide
Na maré vazante o desembarque acontece mais distante e o trajeto final é uma caminhada maior pela vila — vale levar bagagem leve ou combinar apoio conosco.
